Monthly Digest 023
This is a monthly recap of resources that have helped me become the best version of me!
A QUOTE I love --
“No matter how much we prepare, life often brings us to a place that is different than where we plan to be.”
A BOOK I finished --
The 5 AM Club by Robin Sharma // // Another book by one of my favorite authors. This guy is a beast! He’s been teaching people how to transform their lives by creating a habit of rising before the sun comes up for 20 years. I’m generally a morning person, but the techniques in here take it to the next level.
A PODCAST I listened to --
Why Nobody Feels Rich (Hidden Brain) // [[ new podcast alert! ]] First time listening to this one, and I will definitely be keeping it in the lineup. Shankar Vedantam uses science and storytelling to reveal the unconscious patterns that drive human behavior, shape our choices and direct our relationships. This episode dives into how we naturally compare ourselves to people who have more than us.
A PLACE I recently traveled to --
Where: Kaunas, Lithuania
--> my 3rd trip to Kaunas to check out some next generation youth games
--> home of retired NBA player Arvydas Sabonis (and many others)
--> Zalgiris Arena is the largest sports arena in the Baltic countries
An ARTICLE I enjoyed --
The Spiral of Science // This article complements this month’s recommended podcast very well. When most humans discuss a popular topic, they will default to not even talking about it. If we think an opinion is unpopular, we will simply avoid expressing it. Aka the world of false realities swayed by relying heavily on news and social media.
A VIDEO you should watch --
If you haven’t read his book yet, do it! And if you want a quick summary of how to crush your mornings, here’s a video of how and why you should wake up before the sun rises :)
Like anything in life, I will continuously make changes and improvements to this newsletter! That will all depend on feedback I get from YOU! The purpose is to be able to share resources that bring you value. Hit me with feedback on any of the following:
Which resource above is your favorite?
What do you want more or less of?
How can I improve?
Have a wonderful month!
