Monthly Digest 027

This is a monthly recap of resources that have helped me become the best version of me!

A QUOTE I love --

“At first you're crazy... but then you're not."

A BOOK I finished --

Never Split the Difference by Chris Voss // Chris is an absolute boss. He is a former international hostage negotiator for the FBI. He can talk anyone into (or out of) any situation. In his book he teaches you that it's not only what you say, but how you say it, that truly influences conversation.

A PODCAST I listened to --

Co-Founder & CEO of Opendorse, Blake Lawrence // The proposed rule changes related to NCAA athletes' name, image and likeness will be a game changer as soon as they are passed. There is one company that is lightyears ahead of the market, and that is Opendorse. In this episode I spoke with Blake Lawrence about his company and how they are helping both professional and collegiate athletes understand the value of their platform.

A PLACE I've traveled to --

Where: San Juan, Puerto Rico

--> after an entire year of not traveling outside the states, we are back! (almost)

--> watched some young prospects and met some amazing coaches

--> add this to your travel list: El Castillo San Felipe del Morro

An ARTICLE I enjoyed --

We Are What We Remember // Memories are everything. It's a big part of our life experience. We create our true identity around the things that we remember from an early age. This article helps you understand how you can create the strongest memory network

A VIDEO you should watch --

Coach Kara Lawson explained a very important concept to the Duke women's basketball team before a workout: The difference between working hard and competing! Take notes...

Like anything in life, I will continuously make changes and improvements to this newsletter! That will all depend on feedback I get from YOU! The purpose is to be able to share resources that bring you value. Hit me with feedback on any of the following:

  • Which resource above is your favorite?

  • What do you want more or less of?

  • How can I improve?

Send me a tweet (@Kevin_Tarca), shoot me a DM (@kevintarca) or simply respond to this email!

Have a wonderful month!
