Monthly Digest 019
This is a monthly recap of resources that have helped me become the best version of me!
A QUOTE I love --
"If you can run a losing race without blaming your loss on someone else, you have bright prospects of success further down the road in life."
A BOOK I finished --
Essentialism by Greg McKeown // Do you ever feel busy but not productive? Do you seem to add unnecessary things to your "to-do" just to feel like you accomplished a task? This is easily one of my top 3 favorite books because it's never been more clear how to analyze what is essential and what is wasting my time!
A PODCAST I listened to --
Athlete of the Future Nutritionist Cate Shanahan! (1% Podcast with David Nurse) // You can never go wrong listening to my guy D-Nurse's podcast! This episode him and Cate dove into being vegan & keto in the NBA, how to increase your metabolism and even fill you in on the world's most ultimate super-fruit that you've never heard of!
A PLACE I recently traveled to --
Where: Mijas Pueblo, Spain
--> one my first "off the radar" excursions (Feb 2017)
--> famous for "donkey taxis"... yes, exactly what you think.
--> the entire village is comprised of whitewashed Andalusian homes and buildings
An ARTICLE I enjoyed --
What You Truly Value // When a crisis hits, everything is put to the test! Since the day we were told to quarantine ourselves, the things that we value the most became very evident. Change can be stressful, but if you approach it properly, it doesn't have to be scary!
A VIDEO you should watch --
Try Not to Laugh! // Laughing out loud is ALWAYS a good way to start a day! It's been scientifically proven that laughing leads to a reduction of stress. So here are babies laughing uncontrollably. Gets me every time! Apologies in advance if this triggers you down the rabbit hole of youtube... but at least your day will start off on a good note :)
Like anything in life, I will continuously make changes and improvements to this newsletter! That will all depend on feedback I get from YOU! The purpose is to be able to share resources that bring you value. Hit me with feedback on any of the following:
Which resource above is your favorite?
What do you want more or less of?
How can I improve?
Have a wonderful month!
