Monthly Digest 012

This is a monthly recap of resources that have helped me become the best version of me!

A QUOTE I love --

"Life is way too short to be working for someone else's dream."

A BOOK I finished --

Shut up and Listen by Tilman Fertitta // I got to listen to Tilman speak a few months ago and this guy is 110% real. Just a genuine, straight to the point, type of guy. His book outlines hard truths about succeeding in business. If you are in any type of relationship based business (aka almost everyone in the world), you should pick this up. Quick read!

A PODCAST I listened to --

How to Build a Multi-Billion Dollar Empire (Lewis Howes School of Greatness) // Ironically this months podcast was an interview with Tilman Fertitta. The guy is everywhere! Lewis and Tilman dig into how to cultivate a culture to make employees want to stay, why staying humble and grounded is important, and why you should relentlessly pursue your talents!

PLACE I RECENTLY TRAVELED to --

Where --> Porto, Portugal

Fun Fact --> The city's nickname is Invicta!

A few ARTICLES you should read --

The Difference Between Amateurs and Professionals // Straight to the point. Concrete truths about the differences between why some people just seem to dominate life and why some people just seem to get by.

How Veggie Burgers became the NBA's New Gatorade // NBA Players being the face of a veggie burger represents a drastic shift in people's views on food, sports and masculinity. Check out how some of the NBA's biggest stars brought a veggie burger to the top.

A DOCUMENTARY you should watch --

The Great Hack // This one is a must watch asap! I had been briefly familiar with the story about Cambridge Analytica and their supposed involvement with the Presidential election of 2016. But this documentary dove deep into the background story, the dark side of social media, and how we really have no idea where all of our personal information is "up there."

Like anything in life, I will continuously make changes and improvements to this newsletter! That will all depend on feedback I get from YOU! The purpose is to be able to share resources that bring you value. Hit me with feedback on any of the following:

  • Which resource above is your favorite?

  • What do you want more or less of?

  • How can I improve?

Send me a tweet (@Kevin_Tarca), shoot me a DM (@kevintarca) or simply respond to this email!

Have a wonderful month!
