#LinkedInSports Day 2️⃣3️⃣: What do you believe is the greatest challenge most athletes are facing today?
Among the many challenges athletes have, there is only one that sticks out to me as the greatest.
And that is finding an identity outside of being an athlete!
There's nothing wrong with being labeled an athlete. It's actually an advantage.
But it quickly becomes a challenge when athletes believe that is the ONLY identity they have.
Because it's just not true.
I started Kreation Talent Agency in 2017 for two main reasons.
1) Because I didn't get an opportunity at another agency.
2) Because I believed I would be good at guiding college basketball players into their professional career.
But what I've noticed recently is that I am more passionate about helping athletes realize that life is much bigger than the game. And that they are much more than an athlete. Many athletes don't realize they can use their skill set to open up doors after the ball stops bouncing.
If you're an athlete unsure of your future, I encourage you to start asking yourself some of these questions:
What motivates you?
What do you enjoy outside the game?
How can you make an impact?
What can you see yourself doing as a career?
What is your why?
