After two years developing on loan, 208cm Japanese center Tominari “Toyo” Kano is officially returning to Sunrockers Shibuya for the 2025-26 BLeague Season!

Toyo joined the Sunrockers in 2023 as a long-term development project and spent his first two professional seasons gaining valuable experience — first with the Tokushima Gambarous in B3, then with the Shinshu Brave Warriors in B2.
Known for his explosive dunks, massive wingspan, and shot-blocking presence, Toyo was a key contributor in Shinshu’s B2 playoff run this past season. You can see some highlights from last season below:
We are also honored to share that Toyo has earned a selection to the 2025 Japan Men’s National Team Development Camp, to be held in Tokyo on Friday, June 13. This marks a major milestone in his career — and the first national team training camp invite for a KTA client.

The Sunrockers are excited to welcome Toyo back and we are all excited to support him as he takes the next step in his career on the B1 and national team level stages.
