#LinkedInSports Day 2️⃣1️⃣: Who is a woman in sports that inspires you and why?
I’ve gotta give a big time shout to Coach Samantha Guastella! Currently an Assistant Coach for Yale Women’s Basketball.
Sam crushed it as a collegiate student and athlete (shoutout Quinnipiac University).
After she was done with school, there was pressure to get a “real job,” but she decided to chase her dream to play at the next level. Obviously she accomplished that and spent several years playing overseas.
I don’t care which industry you’re in, when you bet on yourself and decide to follow your heart versus chasing a paycheck, you’re on a special path!
After her pro career, she’s had experience with a NBA organization, casually added a masters degree, and made several college basketball squads across the country better!
