FreeGame Mgmt -- Looking Back at March! March is always a reminder of what this is all about.
Conference tournaments, Selection Sunday and postseason play across the board. We had a strong presence of FreeGame clients playing in the post season, with multiple clients competing on the biggest stage and a few making deep runs into the Sweet Sixteen.
Men’s NCAA Tournament
Kendall Blue (Nebraska)
Zach Kinziger (Wisconsin)
Jalen Wilson (Northern Iowa)
Women’s NCAA Tournament
Gabby White (Virginia)
Taylor Matthews-Johnson (Clemson)
Ella Hobbs (Ohio State)
Johnny Kinziger (Illinois State) continues his run in the NIT and is playing in the Final Four this week against Auburn.
Isaac Asuma (Minnesota) will also be competing in The Crown with a matchup vs. Baylor tonight.
Moments like this are the result of long-term work finally being showcased on the biggest platforms.
Off the court, we continue to grow as a company, constantly working through challenges that come with a rapidly evolving landscape. A few things I will highlight that stand out above the rest:
Schools are getting more sophisticated and, in some cases, more aggressive with contract structures. Every single player needs real representation. Not someone who decided they’re an NIL agent two years ago on Instagram. This is a serious business, and the people on the other side of the table are experienced, resourced, and prepared.
The calendar is still a mess. The portal doesn't officially open until next Tuesday at 12:00am, yet there are already over 1,000 players who have publicly announced their intention to enter. Coaches can’t legally communicate or make offers, but the market is clearly already moving. It’s a system that continues to operate ahead of its own rules.
Through all of it, our focus remains the same. Support what our athletes are doing right now, while continuing to plan and position them for what’s next. At FreeGame, we do busines the right way. Always. No matter what. There are a lot of people in this space taking shortcuts, but they'll soon learn that shortcuts never pay off long term.
FreeGame is playing the long game.
New Client Signings Last Month:
Will Garlock (Wisconsin)
Louis Bond (Idaho State)
Athena Tomlinson (Boston College)
Josh Manchester (2,000+ point scorer, Mr. Wisconsin finalist 2026)
Dwayne Pierce (NC A&T)
