It is not a new concept for professional athletes to become entrepreneurs. You have the high profile names like Shaq, Venus & Serena Williams, Tom Brady, Kobe, LeBron, The Rock, Naomi Osaka, Cristian Ronaldo, and the list goes on.
And you also have some names you might not be as familiar with, like Ulysses Bridgeman, Indra Nooyi or Thad Young.
But what has become more common lately, is ALL athletes understanding they can be entrepreneurs even before the multimillion dollar contracts! Yes, the new NIL rules in college sports have been a major catalyst for this movement, but it's even bigger than that.
We all know athletes are good at playing a specific sport.
But athletes are also more than just athletes. And that is where the power lies.
Athletes are creators! And they are starting to realize that their passions and skill sets outside the game can open up doors for the future. Because the ball stops bouncing for everyone, it's just a matter of time.
